Outside Edge is the name Paul gives to his narrative ink-and-watercolour sketches of imagined, island-inspired urban buildings and streetscapes.

Sitting somewhere between observation and invention, these works are deliberately off-kilter and occasionally surreal. Rooted in lived experience but freed from strict realism, each sketch suggests its own story — fragments of place, memory, and atmosphere rather than literal records.
