Hi, my name is Paul Crask. I’m a writer and artist from England, based on the Caribbean island of Dominica since 2005.
For nearly two decades, I wrote widely as a freelance travel journalist, authored four editions of two Bradt guidebooks, and designed and published a series of independent travel and culture magazines.
In 2024, I ended my involvement in the travel sector. My focus now is on writing a book and developing my knowledge and craft as a visual artist.
I hold a BA Honours Degree in German Language and Literature from the University of Leeds and I also studied behind the Iron Curtain in former East Germany at Karl Marx University, Leipzig. I’ve lived and worked in England, Germany, and Japan.
I live near Giraudel, on the western slopes of Morne Anglais, with my wife Celia, who was born in Dominica. A keen gardener, I grow and process my own coffee (I learned in Antioquia, Colombia) and continue to travel whenever I can.
